hey, i wanted to know if running 2 copies of guild wars at the same time is legal... if it isnt, why not. if you really dont know, please dont comment... i want to be 100% sure im not gonna get banned...just for playing guild wars
im gonna use the guide from here
P.S. some of you may wonder why i need 2 guild wars... im going for LDoA and it requires me to be logged on afk for 10-20 hours. thus, i want to be able to play guild wars while doing this.

I've ran two games on one computer for 2 years or something, via that tutorial.
In short, it is allowed and not against the EULA, however A-Net has stated that ANY damages you make to your system or game are entirely your responsibility - and they will NOT support this under any circumstances. So at your own risk, it is allowed and you will not be banned.

Yes it´s leagal, if you own 2 copies of Guild Wars you can play them on one computer. It´s the same thing as playing 2 copies on 2 computer.

Yeah, you have to have two separate accounts as a single one cannot be logged in more than once at a time. But I'm sure the OP knew that much.
And, I am a ''Mini-Mod'' per-se, I don't have as much options as a Super Mod (I.E Rahja) but I can still do minor things.
PS: Thank you to whoever promoted me. Tech corner is looking better.

Brianna is correct 100%. Keep in mind that your system will run noticeably slower unless you have a monster pc. The tutorial works just fine still today.
It was mentioned but is worth repeating that you cannot play the same account at two times of course. It sounds obvious but some people seem to get that impression.
Keep in mind that you will need to re-edit your GW.exe [b]every[/] time there is an update. I recommend having another shortcut for each account with the -image switch on it already. It helps, there is a thread somewhere here with all the command switches if you need it. Even though I don't run 2 accounts on one pc very often anymore, I still go thru the the imaging on both of my accounts on every update.
GL with your LDoA btw and if you have any questions post here again or throw me a PM. The tutorial covers it very well though.

Yeah I figured probably, just not 100% sure, but since he is in charge of this area I'm pretty sure that's what it was all about.

Ahh I see, I guess it would make sense that only an Admin could do promoting to accounts.
Mod pets, that seems accurate lol.
